I Love Babies.
I think anyone who has seen me toting around my five little ones can tell from a mile away that babies, they’re my favorite. What I love more is the artistic nature of outdoor Idaho Falls newborn photography. The idea behind babies in the wild is this: It’s natural. Babies go outside with their parents and like with small children and adults, they are overall – happier.
I began doing outdoor newborn sessions in 2014 when my daughter was born. I lived in an apartment at the time while in between homes. I felt that the bare white walls were too limiting for pictures of my baby and so I improvised and took her to a cotton field that was across the street. That particular newborn session was beautiful. Ever since, I try to book as many newborns during the summer months as I can.
As an Idaho Falls newborn photographer, I have my locations scoped out ahead of time. This just happens to be one of my favorites! We used the overgrown landscaping paired with some baskets and comfortable blankets for baby. Like with most of my newborn sessions, baby stayed asleep the entire time, (this is why they call me the baby whisperer 😉 )
I also enjoy leaving the natural details in the photos. Milia (the tiny dots across baby’s nose) and dry skin only last for a small amount of time and for me, it is important to capture that and hone in on those details. Here is a look at some of my favorite images from our session;
I'm a small town Maine photographer with big ideas and lots of creativity. I would love nothing more than to document the milestones of your family. Whether it's something as small as losing a tooth or as big as some new baby news, please send me a message with your ideas & thoughts.Alexandra
